I’ve just received my Gaming PC. What should I do now?

Thank you for purchasing from METAGEAR! If you’re unsure on how to set up your new computer for gaming, please follow these steps.

STEP 1:
Carefully take your PC out of the packaging. Be sure to retain all boxes for your PC and its components for returns & RMA purposes. If you do not keep the original packing materials and need to return your gaming PC for any reason, please ensure it is properly and securely packed before shipping it back.

STEP 2:
Inspect your computer for any potential damage that may have occurred during shipping. Each gaming PC undergoes rigorous testing and quality control before being prepared for shipment. While most gaming PCs arrive without any issues, shipping can sometimes cause components to shift, detach, or sustain damage. If you notice any internal or external problems, please reach out to our customer support team.

If you encounter broken glass panels, do not attempt to handle or remove any glass shards from the surface of your computer, internal components, or the shipping box without wearing protective clothing.

STEP 3:
Connect your desired peripherals to the appropriate input / output ports. If your computer has a dedicated graphics card installed ensure that any display devices are plugged into the graphics card directly. The graphics card has horizontally oriented ports located midway down the back of your computer’s case. Avoid using the vertical ports towards the top of your gaming PC, as these connect to the central processor through the motherboard, which is not optimized for high-performance gaming. Using these ports may result in a significantly diminished gaming experience or no display output at all. Thus, you should only use the motherboard ports if your computer does not have a dedicated graphics card and instead relies on a CPU with integrated graphics.

STEP 4:
Connect your computer using the provided power cable. Although similar power cables from other appliances or computers may be compatible, METAGEAR recommends using the supplied cable for your gaming PC. Ensure the power switch is in the ‘I’ position, as your PC will not power on if the switch on the power supply is set to ‘O’. This switch is typically located at the bottom of your gaming PC tower, near the power input.

STEP 5:
You’re ready to power on your computer! At METAGEAR, every computer is tested as a fully integrated product before leaving our facility. Your gaming PC has been benchmarked, quality controlled, and carefully packed before shipping. Once powered on, you should find an activated installation of Windows with all drivers for the stock components, RGB software, and XMP enabled.
